I Heart Makeup - Lip Geek Review :)

Hey guys, today i have a quick review for you. This time it is a lip product and again it is by I Heart Makeup...So lets get started.

This is the Lip Geek lipstick as i said by I Heart Makeup. This is in the shade 'I Worked For It' this is a very nice brown/red and it looks amazing on the lips and especially in the winter time.

This lipstick is very moisturising and it goes on really well. It does last quite long, i would say it lasted me at least 3 hours before i had to top it up. It is very pigmented and as soon as you apply it to the lips it is really bold and looks amazing. The packaging is very nice and very girly! it also has the shade name underneath the bullet.

So overall i love this product and i will be buying it again, i do not have any problems with it. But what i would love is if the brand actually brought out lip liners for their lipsticks to match the shades. So yeah i am really happy with this and i have been wearing it a lot over autumn and winter. Click here to visit the product on their website.

Hope you enjoyed me reviewing this product and if you have this i would like to know your opinions on it so leave a comment below :)

Just A Quick Update :)

Hey everyone,
I just thought i would give you all a little update because i haven't posted in a while and i wont be posting for a little bit. This is because i am doing a lot of hours at work which ate 10-11 hour shifts a day 5-6 days a week and then on my days off i am doing my driving lessons. So i don't have much spare time. Currently while i am writing this it is my day off for this week where i don't have anything planned but i am babysitting my niece for a few hours and shes been quite munching away watching TV so i thought i would make the most of it.

I am sorry that i haven't posted much and i will apologies in advance for the next few weeks. So basically what i am trying to say is i haven't had time to do anything at all other than work, sleep and learn to drive..finally. I have got 2 posts left from when i went on a bit of a spree with them and pre-wrote a few but they are only little reviews, so they will more than likely be going up sometime soon. My next day off is Wednesday but again i have a driving lesson but next week i also have Thursday off so i will try write as many as i can.

So again i am sorry guys and i hope to see you all soon with a better post than this!!

First Impression - Mac Studio Fix Fluid :)

Hey everyone, This first impression is going to be on another foundation and it is the Studio Fix Fluid by Mac. I do know mine is too dark for my skin colour this is because i bought it from my sister because she didn't like it and she has darker skin than me. It is in the shade NW22.

I am only going to be starting out with a bit of primer on my face to see how much coverage the product gives. There is only one thing i don't really like before applying it and it is that it doesn't come with a pump and i hate wasting product.  I am going to be applying this with my Real Techniques Expert Face brush. The primer that i am using today is the Rimmel London Stay .Matte primer. I haven't got any eye makeup on for anything because i have just finished a different post and i have wiped all of my eye makeup off and i don't want to re apply any because that means taking it back off which will pull at my eyes and i they are a little sore.

I am not going to be putting any pictures of it because the colour match is ridiculous haha. I did know that it was too dark for me but i didn't realise how dark it was! I sort of look like an oompa loompa haha. But apart from the colour it did blend really well and the coverage i would say is medium. I did cover my redness but i would have to apply concealer over some other imperfections. It wasn't drying or anything like that and it wasn't oily it was just right.

So overall this foundation is alright but i do need to go get the colour matched for me rather than my sister. But i do like the coverage and how it blends but i do think i like the Hello Flawless foundation by Benefit a lot better than this.

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you have this product i would love to know what you think about it! Thank you for reading :)

Frozen Inspired Look - Elsa :)

Hey guys, so today i have been quite bored and i ended up looking through all of my eye shadow palettes. I then came across my Makeup Revolution Salvation Palette the colour chaos one. So i had a look at the colours and thought oh ill do a look with this for my blog, when i finished the eye makeup i then realised that it looked a lot like Elsa's from Frozen. So i decided to do my hair the same as hers and i thought it looked pretty good, so first off i will tell you what i did with my eye makeup. Then i will go on to the hair.

So first off i did my eyebrows as normal and then i put my Makeup Revolution focus and fix original eye primer all over my eyes and blended that in with my ring finger. Next i took the Colour Chaos palette used the white shade (the round one) just to even out the tone on my eyes. Then i took the matte purple also the round one and used this as a transition shade but it was really pigmented so i had to blend it out a lot with a fluffy brush.
Once the purple shade was blended i took the first colour on the second row which looks like a darker purple and i applied this to the crease but again it ended up going on really pigmented and also pink. I blended that out a lot again with the same brush. Then i went over to darker it with the purple colour next to the first one on the second row and this added the purple back in. Just to make it more smoky i added the colour on the second row that is the 5th one into my outer corner. After all of the colour was applied i used the same blending brush and blended it out and also into the inner 1/3 of my eye.

So i had a blank space in the middle of my eyelid which i then went in and applied the round pink colour which is matte and that was really pigmented and i blended that out so it was seamless. Then i went in with the neon pink from the top row of the palette and patted that onto my eyelid and blended that out. But because the shadows weren't sparkly i wanted to add some glitter. The first colour on the top row looks like white on the picture but it is actually just a silver shimmer colour and i applied this all over my eyes so that it would be really glittery and then i blended it out.

Thats the eye shadow done. Then i went in with my eyeliner pencil in black and lined my waterline and my tight-line. Then i took my Makeup Revolution double flick thick and thin eyeliner and created the winged liner. When the liner was dry i then curled my lashed with a curler i got in Primark. I then went in with 2 mascaras, one was the Scandaleyes rockin curves mascara that i used on my top lashes but i found that it went a little clumpy so i went in with the MUA Mega volume mascara and used this and it separated my top lashes and then i applied this to the bottom too.

Next i wanted a really flawless complexion. So i started out with my Rimmel London Stay Matte primer. Then i used my concealer palette which has green and pink shades included. So i used the green shades to counteract the redness on my cheeks, nose and chin. Then i used the pink one under my eyes. After i blended all of that in i then used my normal concealer which is the Collection lasting perfection in the shade 1 fair. I applied this everywhere i applied the green and pink shades and blended that in. I then used my Expert face brush by Real Techniques to apply my foundation which is the Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 hour foundation in the shade 103 true ivory.

When that was all blended out i used my Collection sheer loose powder in the shade 1 Barely there. I applied this with my complexion sponge just to set the foundation. Then i went in with my Hoola bronzer and contoured my cheek bones, nose and a little on my forehead. I then blended that out with my Contour brush from Real Techniques. I then applied my highlighter on my cheekbones and my blusher on the apples of my cheeks and blended this out. The highlighter and blush come in a trio by I Heart Makeup called I Heart Definition.

That is my base and eye makeup finish, i then looked at all of my lipsticks and i ended up using the MUA matte lipstick in the shade wild berry, i took a few snaps with this lipstick but when my 3 year old niece saw me and knew i looked a little like Elsa she said Elsa doesn't have dark lipstick and she has pink so she told me to change it haha. So i ended up putting on Candy Rock lipstick by I Heart Makeup.

I then did a plait in my hair to the side and left out some of my fringe so i could clip it back a little messy like Elsa. Yes i have purple hair but...punk edition Elsa? haha only joking. And that is the look complete.
I hope you enjoyed this post, please let me know what you think of it in the comments. Thanks for reading, see you next time :)

First Impression - Collection Lasting Perfection Foundation :)

Hey everyone, this time round i have another first impression post and again this is going to be on a new foundation that i have recently purchased. I got this foundation becasue i have got the concealer that is the same and i love the concealer so much so i thought i would buy the foundation to go with it and this is the Collection Lasting Perfection Foundation in the shade Ivory 2.

On the bottle it says that the product lasts up to 16 hours..that is a long time! It also says it gives a flawless coverage, it apparently minimizes imperfections. It says that the product is oil free and it also has an spf of 20.

I do love my foundations to have a lot of coverage so i am really looking forward to seeing what the coverage is like on this. The concealer does give a lot of coverage. I am going to be trying this with only my Maybelline baby skin instant fatigue blur in cool rose which is just a primer. I will be apply this with my expert face brush from Real Techniques and normally i would apply concealer under the foundation but i want too see how much coverage this gives.I have already done my eye makeup and i will show you what my face looks like with just the primer on so you know how much redness and imperfections i actually have.

Right so i have just applied the foundation and im not even going to put any pictures up because i really do not like this product. First of all it is way too dark for my skin tone and it is only one shade above my concealer and it went on very orange on my skin and it didn't blend well either.

On the bottle it did say it gives a flawless coverage...it didn't not on me anyway. I still had a lot of red showing through and when i tried to build it up it went really cakey and it isn't nice. As much as i love the concealer i hate the foundation, well the first impression of it anyway. Maybe if i get the lighter one or apply it differently but all of my other foundations are really good applied the way i did this one.

Overall i really did not like this foundation, it was rather drying, hardly any coverage all of my imperfections showed through and even the little red patches i have on my cheeks showed through like there was nothing actually on my face. So i think this product is probably going to be forgot about but i will try as much as possible to make this work for me but i don't think i will be able to. I did have high hopes for this but just no haha.

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you have this please let me know what you think about it and if you have the same problems as me or if it just doesn't work for me. Thanks for reading, see you next time :)

Collective Haul :)

Hey guys...today i have a collective haul for you all, this includes beauty, fashion and some random bits and bobs haha. Hope you enjoy...

First off is this bag that i got from Matalan. My mum wanted to nip into Matalan for a new t-shirt because she was going on holiday the next day...woo a week without parents haha. Anyway back to the subject, i went with her out of boredom and i didn't expect to buy anything because i don't normally like anything and we went past some really nice bags, all pastel colours and this one really caught my eye so i thought why not haha...It is  pastel pink and white and the detailing on it is a gold metal. you can either wear it using the handle or it has a longer strap for it to hang lower inside, i will be using it with the longer strap.

Next i got 3 things from New Look.
First off is one of the jumpers. It is a chunky knitted jumper in two shades of grey and i love it, i actually have it in white and black (see below) and because i liked that one i got it in the grey colour. Both of them aren't actually available anymore so i was lucky haha.

Next is another knitted jumper and i honestly love this. It is sooo soft and comfy. Its one of them fluffy jumpers and i thought it might of been scratchy but it isn't its really soft and just all round amazing. I just wear this with some skinny black jeans and a big winter coat and some little black boots and it really looked good.

Last thing from New Look is these slipper boots, i got these because they were on sale, i have already got some boot slippers in pink so i thought these would be good for next winter. These are just a blue patterned knitted slipper and they are really fluffy inside which makes you really warm and they also have two little jewels on each boot.

Next i got these from Topshop, i fell in love with them as soon as i saw them and i had to get them! These are the BOBBY Chelsea boots and they are just a simple black Chelsea boot but i was in love haha. The first time i wore these were on a night out in town and they did get a little dirty and a bit scuffed which i wasn't happy about but hey. These are really comfy too and they fit me perfectly which is actually a big deal haha. Shoes never fit me properly because i am in between sizes but these are perfect.

So i took a trip to White Rose Shopping Center which is near where i live in Leeds and it has quite a lot of shops in there. First i ended up in Select to get some basic black leggings because mine are getting a little scruffy and i needed some more so these are just plain black leggings. You all know what black leggings look right? haha. So next i went into River Island because i wanted a new purse and i wasnt sure what colour i wanted but then i came across this and it will go with the coat that i got from Missguided. It is just a pastel blue purse.

Sticking with the fashion side of things i went online onto Missguided for a quick look and ended up buying 3 different things but i am going to wear them altogether because it think they will look amazing as an outfit also with the bag that i showed you and the shoes from Tophop. So first i got this mint green coat and i love it so much!! Its quite oversized but it is so soft and really nice to wear.

Next from Missguided is a knitted jumper that i got. It is just a plain cream colour and it is super soft this is also oversized. I was going to wear this underneath of the coat but when i tried it on it was right because the sleeves on the jumper are really big/baggy and it then makes it look like iv got huge arms. But i do love the jumper on its own.

The last thing i got from Missguided was these jeans. They are just a plain black pair of skinny jeans that are high waisted. These are just your average pair of skinny high waisted jeans haha but i do really like them.

So back when i was in White Rose i went into my favorite shop which is Superdrug, and to be honest with you i think i spent a little too much but oh well, its only money right...haha. Lets start with the lip products. I got one from Makeup Revolution and it is one of their Vamp shades and it is in Rebel with a cause and it is a really nice deep red purple colour and it looks amazing.

The next lip product that i got was one of MUA's matte lipsticks in the colour wild berry this is a similar shade to the one above and i really like it because of the matte finish.

Next i went to the Collection stand and got three things from them. First off i got another of the Lasting perfection concealer in the shade fair 1. I got this because the only i currently have is too dark for my skin.

Next from Collection, to go with the concealer i got the lasting perfection foundation to try it out and see what it is like. I got mine in the shade Ivory 2. I haven't tried this yet, if you have tried this please let me know what you think of it :)

Lastly from Collection i got their sheer loose powder in the shade barely there 1. Iv seen a lot of people using this and saying good things about it so i thought i would give it a whirl.

The last stand that i went to was the L'Oreal Paris stand. This is because i wanted to repurchase an old favorite of mine because the one i have is way too dark for me now and i havent used this product in over a year and i used to swear by this! It is the true match foundation and i got mine in rose ivory.

Because everything was on 3 for 2 i ended up buying two more products. The next is also a foundation and i have seen soo much about this and everyone that tried it liked it so i thought i would try it out. This is the Infallible stay fresh foundation. I got this in the shade 120 vanilla. I can't wait to try this out and i hope it works for me just live everyone else haha.

The last thing i got from L'Oreal is their Nude magique CC cream and i got the green one because it cancels out redness and i have a lot of redness around my cheeks and nose and i wondered if it will fix that problem for me when i apply my makeup.

That is the last of what i got in Superdrug. I was using my They're Real mascara by Benefit and i
realised it had just run out and i had a little sample sized one but it did last quite a long time so i thought because i love the product so much it is work spending 19.50 on so i went into Boots and bought it haha. This is my favorite mascara and i definitely suggest you try it out.

So the other day i saw something online from Benefit as they are promoting their Porefessional primer and they did a little thing where you can send a gift to a friend by posting it on their wall on Facebook and then they can sign up with their details to receive a free sample of the primer. So my mum suggested to do it in her name so that i could have it haha...very cheeky. But i did do it and i received it the other day. I love this primer and i do have a full size of the product but i thought well why not seeing as it is free and on the photo below you can see the difference between the sample and the full size. It is sooo cute haha, that makes me sound weird but it really is and it is such a good product, if you haven't tried this i suggest you do!

This product i was really wary of buying. This is because it is from Ebay and it is a makeup product but i thought well it is cheap and i can check out the ingredients. This is a concealer palette and it has a lot of shades in. It also comes with corrective concealers (green, pink and yellow) it also comes with a shade that looks bit like a highlighter. Please if you know about ingredients in makeup products can you let me know if this product is alright to use or if it has any ingredients that i shouldn't really be applying to my face, i want to make sure that it is alright for me to use.

Next i got a product online on Boots. This is the Union J fragrance set. It comes with their 50ml perfume and a 150ml shower creme. It is currently on sale for £7.50 from £25, that is the reason why i actually got this product.

This is not a fashion or beauty item but i went shopping with my mum and she pointed it out because it was on sale for only 50p so i had to get it. It's a Glade candle in the blackcurrent scent and it comes in a really nice holder. It actually smells beautiful and it made my room smell really nice, it is quite strong when it is lit but not too overpowering.

I  hoped you enjoyed this post, this is everything that i have bought in January and if you would like me to do any reviews on any of these products then just leave a comment below. Thanks for reading :)

January Favorites :)

So it's that time again where i tell you what i have been loving this month. I didn't do a December favorites because they were the same as my November favorites and i didn't really buy anything new because it was Christmas and i knew i was going to be getting some beauty products and things so i wanted to try them out. The majority of them are going to be featured in this post because i absolutely love them haha. This time it is going to be a bits of beauty products and also some fashion things that i have been loving so i think i should just get started instead of rambling on haha, hope you enjoy.

First off i will start with skincare I got this for Christmas and i was really happy with it and i still am and one of the main reasons why im happy with this because of the size of it and i have still got over half of it left and i have been using it since Christmas. It is the Garnier Micellar Water. I literally use this everyday once on a morning after i have washed my face and then to take my makeup off on a night, even if i haven't had makeup on i still use it on a night because it just cleans my skin so well and my skin has been feeling a lot nicer with this.

After i have been using the micellar water i go in with a toner and its been really working for my skin at the minuet and the one i use is the Simple Soothing toner. Just like the Micellar water i apply it onto a cotton pad and apply it all over my face. I have always used this but recently i have enjoyed using it a lot more.

Next is the Champneys facial cleansing system, i mentioned this product in one of my haul posts but recently i have been using it a lot more and my skin hasn't been great this month so i have been trying to find ways to make it better and this has definetly helped. I don't use the exfoliating head (black and white one) because i think it is a bit too harsh for my skin and when i used it previously there was a lot of redness and it was also quite sore. However the cleansing head is so much better and it is really soft and it gives me a really deep clean which i think my skin needs and it is better than using my hands.

This product kind of fits into the skin care category. It is a lip product, it is the Carmex lip balm. I have used this before but i used to use one that came in a pot and i mainly used this when i was in and around the house but i wanted one to take with me when im out because i get really chapped lips especially in the winter time so i got the squeezy tube one. I find it so much easier and a lot more hygienic because im not putting my fingers into a pot to apply it.

So now to the beauty products of this month. First off is a few products from Benefit Cosmetics. I will start with the Hello Flawless foundation. I got this as a Christmas present and i actually think i am in love! Mine is in the shade Ivory - believe in me and it is such a good match for me, which is very lucky because i got it online.

Next from Benefit is the Hoola bronzer which i also got for Christmas. I love this because it is such a good colour for contouring with and it is perfect, i also love the brush that comes with it because it makes it easier to apply it so that it sculpts my cheek bones and then i just blend it out with my contour brush from Real Techniques.

The last thing from Benefit is the They're Real mascara, i had one of the little versions of this a while ago and then i found it in my makeup collection near the start of January and i remembered how much i loved it so i ended up buying another one but full size this time.

The next makeup item is one i have had for a while too but i love it a lot more this month because i find it a lot easier to work with and i have a lot more control with it. This is the Makeup Revolution double flick thick and thin eyeliner. It has two ends both are pointed but one is thicker than the other. As i said i have a lot of control over this product when i am using it and i have found that it is a lot easier to get a good winged eyeliner with this rather than a gel eyeliner.

This product is also from Makeup Revolution but this is for your eyebrows, it is the brow dual ultra brow arch and shape. One side is similar to a pencil and the other is a felt tip. I love using the pencil side to fill in my brows and then using the felt tip to make my eyebrows sharper, the one that i got was the shade fair, the lightest one that they do.

The next product is a primer that i asked for for Christmas and i got it...yay haha. It is the Insta-Blur all in one primer from the Body Shop. I love this because it smooths out my skin and makes it a lot easier for my foundation to go on. It also makes my base makeup last for hours without it moving.

This product isn't makeup but it does come up in the beauty category. This is the hair dye that i used recently and i am obsessed with the colour of my hair and how it turned out. I have used this dye before but in the pink shade and i was also very happy with that too. It lasts so long without it fading and they are so pigmented and bright it is unreal. This is the Schwarzkopf Live color XXL ultra brights in Purple Punk. The shade that i used for my pink hair was called shocking pink.
Another product i have been loving is for the bath, i am one for taking baths instead of showers but it does get annoying because i can't wash my hair when i am in the bath because of the colour and a lot of colour comes out when i was it so i have to do it separately. But the body wash that i have been loving this month is the Soap & Glory clean on me wash and it smells sooooo nice. I have got two of the travel sized ones because i got them in gift sets over Christmas.

Another Soap & Glory product that i also got in the gift sets is the Scrub your life exfoliating scrub, im not one that exfoliates my body but i have been trying to do it a lot more this year. I really love this product and again it smells really nice.

A Soap & Glory product that i don't use in the bath is the Hand Food, I get really dry hands because i use them all the time and they always feel awful but since getting this and using it they have now gone it a much better condition, and again it smells nice haha.

So onto the fashion products that i have been loving and first up is my Uggs, iv had them quite a while but i never really wore them but because it has been near enough a dry winter iv been wearing them a lot more. The ones i have are just the classic chestnut boot but i do love them and they are my go to shoes when i am being lazy or just going to work or the shop etc.

Next is my big coat i did get this around the start of december but i have loved it a lot more this month because i have been getting ill a lot recently and iv always been cold so i have been wearing this wherever i go haha. I got this from Topshop and it is just a padded parka coat and it sort of has a wool like lining and a faux fur hood in cream and then gold detailing.

Next is my lack skinny jeans that i got from Primark, i haven't got a picture of them but you all know what black skinny jeans look like haha. I have been wearing them with everything lately, normally i wear black leggings but because its a lot colder i have switched to jeans instead. I was really happy when i got these because i can never find them in a short leg and they are all normally too long for me because i am so short but i finally found them.

I have really been loving knitted jumpers this month and i actually cannot get enough of them and i have wore this one so much that i can't actually wear it anymore because its gone all bitty from washing it so much. This is a chunky knitted contrast jumper from New Look. So because i can't wear this anymore i got it in a different colour, you can go see that on my collective haul post.
I hope you enjoyed this post guys, and thanks for reading :)
