My Foundation Collection... So Far :)

Welcome back! Today i have my foundation collection so far, i am planning on buying more because i do love trying new products out but i need to wait till i have the money for it haha. I do work very hard for my money but i have other things to be spending on and makeup i class as a luxury and especially high end makeup. So lets get into it.

First off i am going to start with the drugstore foundations, i am more of a drugstore girl because you can find amazing good quality products for really cheap prices! So the first brand is Rimmel -
This foundation i have been using everyday for the past 6-8 months (not the same bottle obviously haha) This was my holy grail foundation for a long time! I currently have a 2 full bottles of this left and it lasts a really long time compared to other foundations . This is the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hour foundation. I get mine in the shade 103 true ivory. It is a perfect match for my skin tone! I don't really like the dewy finish so i do put a mattifying powder over it but the coverage is amazing.

Next from Rimmel is the Stay Matte foundation, mine again is in 103 true ivory and again it is a perfect match for me. This is more of a mousse consistency but because of that it gives a lot of coverage and it does set matte but i always like to go in with a powder after. I haven't really worn this much because i always forget about it but it is a really good product and quite cheap as well.

The next drugstore product is from Makeup Revolution which you all know i love. But this product i don't really like, i think it is hard to get foundation right but the colour is way too light for me and it also goes really patchy on my skin. I used to mix it with foundations that were too dark and then the colour would go right but i would find that it clung to my dry areas, if you don't have dry skin then this may work for you but i do have rather dry skin and especially in the winter.

Next is also another foundation that i don't wear that much, again it is just a product that i have forgot about because of the Rimmel lasting finish foundation. This is the NYC all day long foundation. i got this in the shade 744 soft beige and i think it is too dark for my skin right now. It does say on the bottle that is lasts up to 14 hours but i wouldn't really agree with that. But overall it is quite a good foundation if you don't forget about it haha.

This next foundation i have used a lot but not as much as my other foundations. This is the Miss sporty so matte perfect stay foundation. On the bottle again it says lasts up to 14 hours but again i would say that it only lasts a couple of hours. The shade i got is 002 light and it does match my skin but not perfectly. It does have a matte finish and i do like using this foundation.

This foundation is by Barry M and it is called Flawless matte finish oil free foundation. I'v got mine in the shade nude. It is a little dark for my skin but i can just pull it off. I don't think it is a matte finish but it also isnt dewy i think it is just in between them both. I do really like this foundation but i don't really tend to wear it because of the colour.

I used to wear this foundation a lot around a year ago and i loved it but my skin is a lot lighter now and this is now too dark for me and i don't really like the texture anymore. This is Maybelline Dream satin liquid. It is more of a mousse texture and also quite thick but i did used to like it a while ago and mine is in the shade 021 nude.

This next foundation i have only just recently bought and i haven't tried it out yet but this is the Lasting perfection foundation by collection. I absolutely love the concealer version of this so i thought i would try out the foundation and it is very cheap so even if i don't like it i haven't wasted a lot of money on it. I have got it in the same shade that i get my concealer which is ivory 2.

Next is one of my old favorites that i have recently repurchased. The one that i had was now too dark for my skin and also i only had a little left so i threw that one out and bought it in she shade rose ivory. This is the L'Oreal True match foundation. I used to wear this around 2 years ago and i used to swear by it and i remembered how much i loved it when i was going through my collection so i had to get another. Im sure you will of heard something about this product but it blends really easy and it is just a good foundation overall.

Another L'Oreal foundation that i have is the Infallible stay fresh foundation. I got this at the same time as the true match because they were on offer at the time. I have really wanted to try it out because i have seen so many people talk about it and trust me they were right. This product is amazing, i now like it a lot better than the true match one. Don't get me wrong i still love the true match but i think this is a lot better. Mine is in the shade 120 Vanilla.

So that's the drugstore foundations covered next is onto the high end ones that i have, i do only have two but i am thinking about getting a lot more haha. First up is the Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow foundation. Mine is in the shade ivory - believe in me. I have raved about this product in my past posts and i bloody love it! I don't use it that often because it is a high end foundation and i only use it if im off to a special occasion or off on a night out because it lasts all night. I recently wore it out on a night out and i had on for around 10-11 hours and it didn't come off at all even when i was sweaty and things haha. This is my holy grail high end foundation, not that iv tried many.

This last foundation that i have i actually bought it off of my sister because she got it and didn't like it so i thought i would add it to my collection. It is a little dark for me but i will work something out for that little problem haha. This is Mac's studio fix fluid and it is in the shade NW22. I haven't actually tried this yet but i am dying to try it!

So that is all of my foundations, if you would like any in depth reviews on any of them please let me know in the comments. I hope you enjoyed being a bit nosy haha. Thanks for reading and see you next time :)

Mermaids vs Unicorns Palette :)

Hey guys today i have a bit of a different post for you. So as you may know i bought the Mermaids vs Unicorns palette by Makeup Revolution so i thought i would do a little look with it. It's not very wearable but if you're going on a night out in town then you may be able to pull this off...i definitely would wear it out depending on what im wearing haha. Hope you enjoy this post and please let me know if you would like me to do more of these :)

So first off this is the overall look this wasn't planned at all i just went with it haha! Please don't mind my base makeup as it wouldn't go right and i just ended up giving up with it haha but the eyes are the main focus anyway. So it ended up more of the Mermaid side of the palette but i do think it really looks cool haha.

First off i did my eyebrows as i normally would and then i went onto the base of my eyes, i used the Makeup Revolution original eye primer and just blended that in with my ring finger.

Next i just applied a plain white matte shadow that i already have just as a base and to also even out the colour on my eyes so that the shadows are applied evenly. Next i did the transition colour which is the first colour on the palette, it is the lightest green that is on this palette so i thought that would be best, all of these shadows are glittery as you can see but they are amazing.

So once i have blended out my transition shade with my base shadow brush by Real Techniques i then went in with the second shade to darken my crease and i blended that out with the same brush. To darken it even further i took the third colour and used that in the same place just to define my eye a little more. I also applied the second and third shade to the inner 1/3 of my eye and also the outer 1/3 which means i left it blank in the middle of my eye lid. Next i took the fourth shade and applied it to the blank area but it didnt really show up much because of how bright the green is so instead i mixed together the fifth and sixth shades and applied that by just patting it onto the blank area. I then took a fluffy blending brush and blended it all out so that there wasn't any harsh lines.

So after i applied all of the shadow i looked and i wasn't that happy with it, i thought it needed a darker colour in the outer corner and a little more in my crease. So i had a look at the palette again and saw the dark purple shade (the seventh shade) so i used this with a clean base shadow brush by Real Techniques and ran that a little though my crease and on the outer corner and i blended it out until i was happy with it.

When i was finally happy with the colour i then applied a black pencil eyeliner onto my waterline and also my tightline. I then applied the Makeup Revolution Awesome double flick thick and thin eyeliner along my top lashes and then i created a wing.

For underneath the eye i applied the third shade to the inner and outer 1/3 of my eye and then for the middle i applied the blue shade (sixth one) and then i blended it out with a little blending brush that i have.

For mascara i used the Rimmel Scandaleyes Rockin Curves mascara in extreme black and i put two coats of that on my top lashes (picture on the left.) For my bottom lashes i used the Mua Mega volume mascara also in black.

So that's the eyes done, i then went and did my normal base makeup and finished with just a Barry M lip liner but i don't actually know what shade it is in but it is a brown coloured one. But like i said at the start of this post, my base makeup didn't go right and it got me really annoyed so i gave up haha.

So this is how it finished! I hope you like it and please let me know your opinions on it in the comments below and if you would like me to do any more of these then just let me know. Thanks for reading see you next time :)

First Impression - L'Oreal Infallible Foundation :)

Hey guys, today i have a first impression for you. This time it is a foundation that i have just bought and it is featured in my collective haul post. I got this product because i have seen a lot of people raving about it saying they like it, so i thought i would give it a go myself.

I got this in the shade vanilla 120. At first i thought that it might be a little too light for me but when i applied it, it was darker than what i thought but it matches my skin. So first off i applied my moisturiser, primer and concealer. Then i went straight in with the foundation. I only used one pump at first just so that i didn't waste any product, and then i blended it in with my Expert Face brush by Real Techniques.

One pump was enough for me and i also had a little left over that i used on parts of my face that i have redness (cheeks and nose). I have got to say this blended so easy and quick and it didn't leave any streaks at all. I think this is supposed to be a dewy finish but for me it was quite matte.

The colour was a little orange but because i have a really light coloured powder when i applied it over to set it, it toned down the orange.

Overall i am really happy with this foundation and i will more than likely be wearing this a lot haha. If you have this product i would love to know what you think about it!

This is what the foundation looks like with my powder on top, im sorry about the picture quality haha.

I hope you liked this post and maybe you found it helpful. If you have any requests of products you would like me to review or anything please leave a comment below. Thanks for reading :)

My Go To Makeup Look :)

Hey guys, today i have a bit of a different post for you. This is my go to makeup look for a night out or a special occasion. I have only done one half of my face to just show you the look and the difference between the makeup look and my natural self. Hope you enjoy :)

I went for more of a full coverage and i want this to last as long as possible. So first off i prepped my skin using a light moisturiser by Simple and just letting that soak in for a bit. Then i go in with my primer which is the Rimmle Stay Matte primer. This is a thick white primer that covers pores and evens everything out and makes your skin soft and ready for your base products.

After i used the primer i went in with concealer i used two concealers and mixed them together to get the perfect colour for my skin right now. The first one i used was the Collection lasting perfection concealer in warm medium 3 and the second one is the Rimmel wake me up concealer in 30 classic beige. I applied this under my eyes, around my nose, a bit on my forehead and cheeks and a little on my chin. I then used a pointed buffing brush i think it is called to work it into my skin.
\
Once I had finished my concealer i went in and mixed up two different foundations. Both of the foundations give of a matte finish which is what love. I used two again to mix together and make a more suitable colour. The foundations that i used are Barry M Flawless Matte Finish foundation in the shade nude and the second one i used was the Miss Sporty So matte perfect stay in the shade 002 light. I used a flat foundation brush to apply this because i wanted as much coverage as possible.

When my foundation was done i then set it with Maybelline's Matte Maker powder in the shade 20 nude beige. I used this with a complexion sponge for under my eyes and then used the powder brush from Real Techniques to set all my foundation.

After my base makeup is set i then go in and contour. I used the B.Sculpted duo which comes with a highlighter and a bronzer. I only use the bronzer in this though. So first off i used the brush that came with the Benefit Hoola bronzer because of the shape of it, i then took some product and placed it underneath my cheek bone to make the shadow and i made a sharp line. I then took my clean Contour brush from Real Techniques to blend it out and once it's blended i then took some product on that brush and lightly applied it on my forehead and my temples and the sides of my nose.

I use a trio to do my highlighting and it also had the blush in that i use. This is the I Heart Definition trio and i just used a angled blush brush to apply the highlighter to my cheek bones and then used the same brush to apply the blush to the apples of my cheeks and blend it onto my cheek bones to connect with the highlighter.
That is then my face makeup complete next i move to my brows. I use Makeup Revolutions Ultra brow arch and shape duo in the lightest shade. First i use the pencil side to fill in my brows and then use the felt tip side to shape them and give them more of a defined look and i also lightly use this side to fill in anywhere where the pencil didn't fill in.

That's my brows done next is the eye makeup! I start off by priming my eyes with the Makeup Revolution focus and fix eye primer. I put this all over my lid and blend in using my ring finger.

Next i used one of the shadows from the MUA heaven and earth palette and i used the shade aurara which is the top white shade and applied this with the base shadow brush my Real Techniques and i applied it all over my mobile lid.
I then went in with my Makeup Revolution Redemption palette the essential mattes one. I used the 7th shadow across from the left and used this as a transition shade. I then applied the 5th shade to my crease and blended it out and then darkened it with the 6th shadow and then again darkened it with the 8th shadow. I then used the 10th shadow which is a black colour in the outer corner of my eye to create the smoky eye and i also applied a mix between the 8th and 10th shadow under my eyes close to the lash line.
I then took the Makeup Revolution Mermaids vs Unicorns palette. i used the last right colour which is a darker black to darken the black on my corner of my eye and i also added a little of this in the corner of my eye and underneath my eye. Then i took the 9th shadow which is a purple and applied it to my mobile lid and also in the center of my bottom lashline. i then went over it with a grey coloured shadow that i have.
I then blended it all out and also the bottom i blended too. Then i decided to go back in with the shade aurara from the MUA palette in the centre of my mobile lid and also in the inner corner of my eye it brighten it up. After the eye shadow is complete i then went in with eyeliner. First i used the Makeup Revolution awesome double flick liquid liner and created a wing eyeliner.
Because the colour isnt that dark on this eyeliner i then went in with the 2true liquid eyeliner and went over the line and sharpened the line a little. I then used 2true pencil liner and used this on my waterline and my tightline. I can't find a picture of the pencil liner but we all know what one looks like right?

I then applied 3 different mascaras. On my top lashes i used the Makeup Revolution amazing volume mascara and then over the top of that i used the Amazing curve also by Makeup Revolution. On my bottom lashes i used MUA Mega volume mascara.

I then go for my lips, i use the I Heart Makeup Lip geek lipstick in the shade i worked for it.

And that is all the makeup applied and this is the finished look (well half) Please don't mind my hair it is sort of doing its own thing haha.

I hope you enjoyed this post and i hope you stayed until the end haha i know it was quite long and i apologise for that haha. I would love to know what you think about this look so please comment below and be honest...if you don't like it tell me what you don't like about it and it might help me in the future haha. New Hair ... Again :)

Hey guys, i know i have only just dyed my hair purple but guess what i have done it again! haha. I do have a good reason why i have done it so soon and i wouldn't normally do it again this quick.

So first, if you have read my other post about dying my hair, i did mention that it went wrong. Well i wasn't too bothered at the time but it started to fade rather quickly and it faded to a really horrible colour (i don't have a picture sorry.) I started getting blue tones in it and it also started to go back pink and a horrible shade of purple. And as for the roots well it looked like i just bleached them and left them haha not good. When i had my hair down because it was in a different parting to how i dyed it you couldn't really see it but when it was tied back it looked horrendous.

So here is what it looked like before, as you can see it doesnt look that bad here but the pink tones are showing on these pictures...sorry about the snapchat haha its the only pictures i can find. I do actually like how it looks on these pictures but when i washed it again the colour really faded and wasn't nice.

So i did re-do it with a different colour and different brand. I used the Schwarzkopf Live Colour XXL Ultra Brights in Purple Punk - 94. I have used this brand before to do my pink hair and i used the Shocking Pink - 93. This is what the product looks like. I had to use 4 boxes of this because of how long and thick my hair is. When i mix this product up i did the same as i do with the pink one, to one tube of dye i use one sachet of the conditioner that comes in the kit.
This time round i got a friend to do it for me. This is because i was doing her hair that same day so we thought she may as well do mine too. (I did her hair rainbow, yes rainbow haha) So she just applied it like any other dye and she made sure that it was all even. Whilst i waited for my hair to process i did hers which took around 2 hours and then i washed mine off. Iv got to say it took so good and at first i thought oh my this is too dark but when i dried it it looked good.

So this is what it looks like now... (again sorry about the snapchat haha)

I was ill in these pictures and i also had conjunctivitis that is why i had no eye makeup on haha. I am all better now thank god. I am so happy with how my hair looks and i hope you enjoyed this post! oh and i may as well tell you my snapchat haha its danielleomfg. :)
