Mermaids vs Unicorns Palette :)

Hey guys today i have a bit of a different post for you. So as you may know i bought the Mermaids vs Unicorns palette by Makeup Revolution so i thought i would do a little look with it. It's not very wearable but if you're going on a night out in town then you may be able to pull this off...i definitely would wear it out depending on what im wearing haha. Hope you enjoy this post and please let me know if you would like me to do more of these :)

So first off this is the overall look this wasn't planned at all i just went with it haha! Please don't mind my base makeup as it wouldn't go right and i just ended up giving up with it haha but the eyes are the main focus anyway. So it ended up more of the Mermaid side of the palette but i do think it really looks cool haha.

First off i did my eyebrows as i normally would and then i went onto the base of my eyes, i used the Makeup Revolution original eye primer and just blended that in with my ring finger.

Next i just applied a plain white matte shadow that i already have just as a base and to also even out the colour on my eyes so that the shadows are applied evenly. Next i did the transition colour which is the first colour on the palette, it is the lightest green that is on this palette so i thought that would be best, all of these shadows are glittery as you can see but they are amazing.

So once i have blended out my transition shade with my base shadow brush by Real Techniques i then went in with the second shade to darken my crease and i blended that out with the same brush. To darken it even further i took the third colour and used that in the same place just to define my eye a little more. I also applied the second and third shade to the inner 1/3 of my eye and also the outer 1/3 which means i left it blank in the middle of my eye lid. Next i took the fourth shade and applied it to the blank area but it didnt really show up much because of how bright the green is so instead i mixed together the fifth and sixth shades and applied that by just patting it onto the blank area. I then took a fluffy blending brush and blended it all out so that there wasn't any harsh lines.

So after i applied all of the shadow i looked and i wasn't that happy with it, i thought it needed a darker colour in the outer corner and a little more in my crease. So i had a look at the palette again and saw the dark purple shade (the seventh shade) so i used this with a clean base shadow brush by Real Techniques and ran that a little though my crease and on the outer corner and i blended it out until i was happy with it.

When i was finally happy with the colour i then applied a black pencil eyeliner onto my waterline and also my tightline. I then applied the Makeup Revolution Awesome double flick thick and thin eyeliner along my top lashes and then i created a wing.

For underneath the eye i applied the third shade to the inner and outer 1/3 of my eye and then for the middle i applied the blue shade (sixth one) and then i blended it out with a little blending brush that i have.

For mascara i used the Rimmel Scandaleyes Rockin Curves mascara in extreme black and i put two coats of that on my top lashes (picture on the left.) For my bottom lashes i used the Mua Mega volume mascara also in black.

So that's the eyes done, i then went and did my normal base makeup and finished with just a Barry M lip liner but i don't actually know what shade it is in but it is a brown coloured one. But like i said at the start of this post, my base makeup didn't go right and it got me really annoyed so i gave up haha.

So this is how it finished! I hope you like it and please let me know your opinions on it in the comments below and if you would like me to do any more of these then just let me know. Thanks for reading see you next time :)
